The Minneapolis Community and Technical College men's basketball team hosts Northland Community and Technical College today in Bowman Hall.

The Mavericks (5-1) tip off with the Pioneers (6-1) at 3 p.m.

The Mavericks defeated the Itasca Vikings last night, while the Pioneers defeated Anoka Ramsey 79-77 in overtime.

At half, the Mavs are tied at 31 points.

DeShawn Thurmond (Fr., Minneapolis, Minn.) leads MCTC with eight points.

Ronald Kelly, Jr. (So., St. Paul, Minn.) has three blocked shots, while Kenny Olafeso (So., St. Paul, Minn.) has two.
