Game 2: Men: Rochester 85 - Mesabi 65

MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 29, 2009) -- Leading all scorers with 18 points, Demetrius Williams (So., St. Paul, Minn.) lead the Rochester Community and Technical College Yellow Jackets to a 85-65 victory over Mesabi Range in men's basketball action this afternoon in Bowman Hall.
The game was the second of four on the day at Minneapolis Community and Technical College's New Year's Classic tournament.
Rochester (10-2) had four scorers in double figures including Williams, David Fritch (Fr., Stewartville, Minn.) 12 points, Aubrey Rhodes (Fr., Seattle, Wash.) 12 points and Kavon Martin (So., St. Paul, Minn.) with 10.
Mesabi Range was led by D'Andrey Arthur (So., Milwaukee, Wisc.) and Jonathan Williams (Fr., Milwaukee, Wisc.) who both had 13 points. Will Jackson posted a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Both teams return to action tomorrow as the Yellow Jackets take on United Tribes at 2 p.m. and Mesabie Range faces Minneapolis at 6 p.m.
