MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 29, 2009) -- The Minneapolis Community and Technical College hosts United Tribes in women's basketball action today in Bowman Hall.
MCTC, the fourth-ranked team in the country, has a 10-1 record, losing their only game by one point. The Mavericks are coached by Keith Lindah with Jayme Young assisting.
United Tribes, a Division II team from Bismark, N.D. is 3-2. The Thunderbirds coach is Daryl Bearstail with Ruth Buffalo-Zarazua assisting.
Briana Blackhawk (So., Brooklyn Center, Minn.) leads the Mavericks with 22 points per game. Sierra Howard (Fr., Bloomington, Minn.) has 11.9 points per game.
