MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 29, 2009) -- The Minneapolis Community and Technical College hosts United Tribes in men's basketball action this evening in Bowman Hall.
MCTC, the second-ranked team in the country, has a 7-4 record. United Tribes, Division II school from Bismark, N.D. is 1-4 on the season.
The Mavericks enter tonight's game after a ten-day break having gone 1-3 in their last four games, including loosing the last three by six points or more.
The game is part of the MCTC New Year's Classic tournament which features eight games between four schools in men's and women's action.
MCTC is led by brothers Kenny (So., St. Paul, Minn) and Peter Olafeso (So., St. Paul, Minn), who average 20.5 and 16.182 points per game. Peter Olafeso also has 8.818 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Freddie Burton (Fr., Minneapolis, Minn.) has 2.273 steals per game.
